Grand Continental - Grande disappointment !!! The hotel is old, rooms are smelling on ashtrays, the hygiene standard in the bathrooms is beyond disgusting ….. Front office staff - unprofessional, lazy and clearly not happy with their job. I’ve booked two rooms and two days prior arrival at the hotel phoned the hotel 5 times until finally a philipino female staff picked the call. I’ve clearly mentioned that one of the room are 2 adults and 2 children and the other room is a family and she was very confident confirming that the beds in the room are big enough and sufficient enough to accommodate our family with kids. I was very clear that our flight will be landing in Abu Dhabi late night and therefore we will arrive late and therefore we need clean and ready comfortable rooms so we can all crush after the long flight before moving forward with our UAE trip. Well guess what, we arrived at the hotel 2:30am, the receptionist has offer as two rooms next to each other but the each of the room with one big bed and obviously we didn’t agreed as one of the family are 2+2 and they need a room with twine beds 🤦♀️.The bellboy was ether drink or just beyond idiot and took 30 min to point where is the car parking so we can park our car. After 30 min wondering FOS offered us a new room with twine bets on a different floor (although I phone them and wrote the on booking with clarification- but never got an answer). The second room 606 to precisely correct was an ashtray, not ready to accommodate guest, without towels nor bathroom amenities etc etc and therefore we spend the next one hour phoning front office and house keeping to freshen up the room at 3:30/4:00 am when we all were death tired and exhausted and just wanted a clean rooms and bed to spend the night. It’s very shame that Abu Dhabi municipality is allowing such a rubbish hotels open. The place should be shut down and demolished. They should pay people to stay not actually charge guest for the staff. Disgusting 🤮

This is the lowest rating I have given in 14 countries and countless hotels in which I stayed It was by far one of the worst experiences if I consider the fact that I booked for ADIPEC in which the mediocre hotel raised its rates to 250€ the night (I had Hilton Daytona Beach, FL with less than that) The furniture was very old and suffered damages that clearly reflect being used for a very long time. The first room they gave me was a disaster, it had mold on the sealing and was smelling terrible. I couldn’t stay even 10 minutes in it the rushed to the front desk to change. The second room was better comparing to the first but was not even near 3rd what I paid for it. It had damaged carpet, stained furniture, old cattle that had yellowish reflecting the many years it has been in service. There was one single socket in the room with nothing provided to accommodate multiple adapters. The breakfast was another big disappointment. For God’s sake they didn’t even have an espresso machine. Very limited choices and horrible taste, I had juice and tasteless croissants the first day then went on for having breakfast outside for the rest of my stay. This is by far the worst experience I had staying in many hotels 14 countries (including countries with poor service hotels). And when I remember the 250 a night that was paid I can’t even imagine how did they dare raise the price like that with this poor quality.

This is by far the best budget hotel me and my girlfriend has stayed. For 4 days we stayed here everything was perfect, the fact that we dont have to ask them to clean the room is the best thing. We go out in the morning and when we come back at night the room is clean as it was when we checked-in. Our belongings were untouched but everything else was renewed without us requesting or them asking if we wanted to clean the room. The only thing this hotel needs to update or upgrade is the T.V, i consider this a 5 star budget hotel so the T.V need to be a bit more modern or latest. The room is big and the whole hotel was covered by carpet on the floor including our room and the corridor to the rooms. The area this hotel is located is perfect because everything you need is just 5 mins walk away from the hotel, bars restaurants, cheap shopping centers and malls also. All the staffs were very friendly and polite. 5 star customer service. Especially our check-in agent and receptionist Saajid gave us the best customer service. Thank you Saajid and the guy who cleans (couldnt ask his name) the rooms. For you this is the place i will choose again if i visit Abu Dhabi again. Best wishes to the hotel and Saajid and the cleaner (sorry we couldn’t ask him ask his name) and kind regards to all the staff. 💪❤️

I book the non smoking room for new year. but I got room 702 smoking room and smail room. Everything i adjust but i requested water when i wake up morning time and i receive the water after several follow up with operator and HK almost 35 minutes they took. Its make me so uncomfortable and i went for shower in side the bath tub its broken and broken part hit on my finger and injured
